Dreams of Mist

 

The twinkling lights. That’s how Evan knew he was dreaming.

He strolled down the bustling streets of California, laughing at his eccentric and beautiful companions and gaping at the sheer size of it all. Actors scurried for the shadows as screaming fans chased them about, and high-end shopping bags adorned every arm.

Here, everyone was larger than life…

An excruciating moan jerked Evan awake, and he realized it was his own. He limped down the dark, deserted streets, overwhelmed by the rotten stench of death.

It was just him now.

He wept above the eerie silence, longing to dream again…
