“Hi, I’m Wendi Coats. I’m married and have two wonderful sons. I’m currently enrolled at Texas Tech University as a Visual Studies (art education) major with a Spanish minor. I’m set to graduate in Spring 2016. I like to do a little bit of everything craft-wise, and I think I’ve tried almost everything once!”

“Do I believe that art has the power to change lives? Absolutely!! I love to look at Chinese and Japanese ink landscapes and get lost in the scenery. It’s very peaceful, and it allows my mind to relax and think. I hope that some of my pieces might have the same effect. Plus, I’ve used art to cope with stress (painting, cross-stitching, etc.).”

“My advice to other Christian artists is to always talk with God about what He wants you to do. I’ve experienced a lot of negativity for my faith and incorporating it into my work, and it can be very disheartening. I’ve decided for myself to limit my exposure to negativity regarding my Christian walk and how I share my testimony with my art.”
